Stories have long been considered an influential and important cultural resource. They have been shared throughout the ages to communicate, commit to memory and revive innumerable legends, histories and personal experiences. Stories can be personal, shared, or belonging to the community. Everybody has a story and anybody can become a storyteller.
This workshop will explore the potential of digital storytelling to create collaborative and shared digital narratives. Through a series of collaborative exercises and creative explorations, small groups will investigate the digital storytelling methodology to create a series of small motion graphic digital stories.
An introductory knowledge of motion graphics software and visual communication via a timeline will be of advantage to workshop attendees. Essential, will be an open expectation to work creatively and quickly in a team based, energetic and inspired working environment, a desire to share and explore stories and enthusiasm to become a better storyteller.
